Farewell, Colors. Thanks for the amazing three years!
I've already mentioned this on Plurk, but today I bid goodbye to colors_tcg. At least, I am stepping down as the head mod, though I might stick around as a player and an occasional mod. I've thought about this for quite a long time and came to the conclusion that it's time to move on. :) I seem to have drifted away from online TCGs. I don't play at any TCGs anymore outside of Colors, and even at Colors, I've only been doing mod-related things and haven't been doing much as a player.
I created Colors on April 30th back in 2010. Here are the two posts that started it all. As you can see from the timestamps (I thought of the idea on the 28th, I made some mock up cards on the 29th, I set up the community on the 30th), Colors was actually quite a hasty, spur of the moment idea, but it managed to turn into something quite amazing with everyone's help, with over 100 players and even our own Colors characters complete with fanart and fanfic. I can barely believe that it's nearly been three years since the beginning. Well, I did want Colors to run for a long, long time, so success? :) I've passed the baton on to cruxis, arushiraoi, and darkraven616, and I know that they'll contribute greatly to having Colors run for a long, long time.
I will miss Colors dearly, but I can't say I'm not relieved either! Here's to having more time to do other things and not feel guilty about it. :3;;
