Dear Parallelsfic Writer
(This is my letter for parallelsfic, a rare Asian fandom exchange. Sign-ups close on 6/29 if anyone still wants to join!)
Dear Parallelsfic Writer,
I hope you will find the following letter helpful! I've requested fic for all of the following and have detailed a little about my general likes regarding fic. In case you (or anyone else) would like to be adventurous, I've provided short blurbs about each of the series as well.
Optional details are optional, however, so take what you will from this letter~. Thank you for writing for me! :)
My general likes: I love long, plotty fic that I can sink my teeth into, so if you happen to be inspired by a monstrous and ravenous plotbunny, I will cheer very hard for that plotbunny to happen. (Shorter fic will be just as adored though! And just because it's short doesn't mean it's not substantial, right~?) I enjoy stories that make me smile, especially stories with a touch of humor here and there. I appreciate bittersweet turns of events that come with happy endings that are earned. I love character studies, stories that focus on friendship and family, stories that explore how a character gets from one point to the next, and stories that follow the tone of the original source. I mostly like gen and don't care too much about the physical aspect of relationships (hugs are great though). I love it when bonds shared between characters are explored. I lean towards liking het and slash if you do wish to explore a romantic relationship in your writing.
If any of the above doesn't work out for your fic, please don't worry about it! It would just make me happy if anything does work out, but rest assured that I read a wide range of genres.

From the following series I've requested, I've written one fic for Oresama Teacher and one fic for Kimi to Boku, but that's it.
1. SKET Dance
SKET Dance is a humorous gag manga (that can sometimes also be very serious) by Shinohara Kenta. It has an anime adaptation that is currently still ongoing. The series is about three high school students who have formed a club called the SKET Dan that is dedicated to helping the staff and students. They solve a variety of problems and influence a great number of people.
Requested characters: Any (nominated characters are Fujisaki Yusuke [Bossun], Onizuka Hime [Himeko], Usui Kazuyoshi [Switch], Tsubaki Sasuke, Katou Kiri)
The humor in this series always has me in stitches, and I am never tired of how Bossun is average yet not and has a number of not-very-useful skills (but he's so good at them!). Yet the back stories for Switch, Himeko, and Bossun had me crying buckets. I would love to see their pasts explored more, or to have their pasts affect the present more. Alternatively, anything about how the SKET Dan was formed would be lovely too. If not an exploration of their pasts, then what I would adore is fic about Bossun and Tsubaki. I always find chapters and episodes with them having to work together (or just coexist) to be fascinating! Rivalry between them is also fun, as is denial about how they are sometimes able to get along. Tsubaki is just utterly adorable in his old fashioned ways. (He's my favorite from the series~). If you'd like to write about Katou Kiri, I would love something from his POV about Tsubaki, or perhaps Tsubaki trying to look out for Kiri or trying to find out more about him.
Above are just things I would appreciate, but anything involving any of the characters nominated (Bossun, Himeko, Switch, Tsubaki, Kiri) would be fine, as I chose any for the characters. With SKET Dance, I'd especially enjoy action and adventure, humor, and or drama (with a happy ending).
I am up to date with the anime and the manga (past the scanlations).
The SKET Dance anime is available on Crunchyroll (60+ episodes) for North America (I think it is also viewable in a few other countries). The manga runs in Shounen Jump and is being scanlated by Trinity BAKumA.
2. Chihayafuru
Chihayafuru is a manga series by Suetsugu Yuki that also has an anime adaptation. The series follows Chihaya who discovers a love for the card game, karuta, after meeting a boy named Arata. Even after she and her friends go separate ways, they eventually meet up again because of karuta. Chihaya continues to play karuta through high school, dreaming of one day becoming the Queen.
Requested characters: Mashima Taichi
Taichi, Taichi, Taichi, Taichi...! He completely stole the show for me. I've only seen the anime and haven't read the manga past where the anime ends, but I would love any fic that deals with Taichi. His struggles with being second best. Trying and trying and failing but trying again. Letting go of his dignity and giving it his all even if it makes him look uncool. Finding confidence and self-worth. Setting an example, leading the team. Small nods towards what comes easily to him and what doesn't would be great too.
I'm not specifically looking for romance involving Taichi, but I wouldn't oppose Taichi x Chihaya or Taichi x Arata. (Taichi x Arata intrigues me a lot, in fact). If you'd like to go the Chihaya x Arata route, please make sure Taichi is still the focus~. I would love to see how any sort of relationship affects the dynamics of their friendship and or their karuta if you chose to write pairings.
I have only watched the anime (season 1). I haven't read the manga. It would be great if spoilers about later events could be kept to a minimum!

3. Oresama Teacher
Oresama Teacher is a humorous manga by Tsubaki Izumi. Mafuyu used to be the gang leader of her old school, but after a run-in with the police, she was expelled. She transfers to a new school and starts over, wanting to be a normal high school girl. She ends up meeting a childhood friend of hers, Takaomi, who is a teacher at her new school, and she makes a new friend, Hayasaka. She sometimes disguises herself (she even has two disguises) so that Hayasaka won't find out that she's actually a really good fighter, because when it all comes down to it, she just wants to be normal.
Requested characters: Any (nominated characters are Kurosaki Mafuyu, Hayasaka, Okegawa Ryoutarou, Ayabe Reito, and Shibuya Aki)
I would adore a humorous fic full of misunderstandings for this fandom. I'm particularly fond of Okegawa, the banchou, and of Mafuyu's disguise as Natsuo, so fic involving either or both would be awesome. I don't care too much for Saeki Takaomi, so no need to focus on him too much. I do adore oblivious!Hayasaka, and more recently, Ayabe Reito who is such a softie, so feel free to include them if you'd like. What I like about Ayabe is that he is so the big brother type who takes care of others, yet he tries to appear tough. Shibuya Aki was also an interesting addition, as he provides a connection to Mafuyu's past.
I would greatly enjoy ensemble fic featuring a humorous episode in these characters' lives, something similar to the tone of the manga. Crossdressing!Mafuyu would be a plus. If you'd like to focus on just one of the nominated characters, that's fine too!

4. Kimi to Boku
Kimi to Boku is a slice-of-life manga by Hotta Kiichi about the daily lives of five high school boys. Season 2 of the anime adaptation has just concluded. The manga is still ongoing at 11 volumes. I love the gentleness in this series and the dynamics between the friends. The humor is also great. I almost always come away from reading the manga with a smile!
Requested characters: Asaba Yuuki
I would love to see something fluffy and cute with the main five boys, Yuuki, Yuuta, Shun, Kaname, and Chizuru, with slightly more focus on Yuuki and Kaname, or Yuuki and Yuuta. Yuuki is my favorite out of the five, while I find Yuuta very admirable. I adore siblings and especially twins in fiction, so Yuuki and Yuuta are way up there in my likes. As long as Yuuki gets most of the focus, I'd be happy~.
Something bittersweet with a happy ending would also be fine with me!
I'm not completely up-to-date with the manga (11 volumes) but I do own all of them and plan on reading them before reveals.
