And now for some random manga talk. My reactions to this week's Katekyo Hitman Reborn, Hunter x Hunter, and Bakuman!
Katekyo Hitman Reborn (ch 364) - I had to backtrack when Dino showed up as Tsuna's English teacher. With glasses. Just... what? XD At first I was wondering if maybe Shouichi was showing up because there was stumbling in the corridors (new transfer student! oh wait, he's not the right age, is he...) but no, of course it was clumsy Dino, haha. It's a fun turn of events. I do love this arc for bringing Dino back into the picture though. Or actually, it's brought a lot of characters back into the picture. And somehow Mukuro is providing some entertaining crack, pfffft.
I reaaaally want to see the characters actually fight. And I want to see Dino fight. I'm also hoping for Chrome to have a good role in all this! Chrome!!
Hunter x Hunter (ch 327) - Dang, someone got killed just like that. ;___; HxH sure does not... hold back with offing people. *mourns for him*
So it seems like Killua has stolen the show for these past few chapters, and it might continue for quite a bit. I don't mind since he is my favorite, and the Zoldyck family is pretty fascinating to me. (But it is so awesome to see Leorio's return, and now we even know his last name after 327 chapters). I don't know what to feel about Alluka yet. I do love that we've finally gotten to see the last sibling of Killua's that we've never gotten to meet before. I wonder if Togashi has always had head canon for Alluka? It sure feels like he has. I love the naming of these siblings with the endings used as the beginnings of the next time. Illumi - Milluki - Killua - Alluka - Kalluto. Awesome naming scheme. :D
By the way, this is a lovely series of art crossing over Yu Yu Hakusho and Hunter x Hunter. :)
Bakuman (ch 158) - Color pages! Voting for the manga series in the manga! Detective Trap is still my favorite out of the manga presented. Next is Money & Intelligence. Reversi is sounding more and more like Death Note and Death Note's situation, especially with Shujin deciding that he'll write Reversi out with its natural course without purposely trying to extend it even if it means the series will end after the current struggle between the protagonist and the antagonist ends (as this antagonist is the last boss but was shown right from the start). I wonder if Bakuman is coming to a natural end too. The duo seems like they're very close to achieving Saiko and Azuki's dream.
