XDDDDD I was almost going to post something about how I knew what gift I was receiving (before the fics went up) when I went wait, but I'm the only one who knows that Kuragehime fic isn't for me! Also, it looks like we had the same writer! :D I'm quite amused by this. I was going to read and watch the other series dropsofviolet requested too since they weren't too long, but I ran out of time for that.

HOW MEAN. XDDDDDDDDDD OMG, it was just...unbelievable how I couldn't finish writing this fic. I basically took the week after the deadline (the week for pinch hits and feeding frenzy) with finishing this fic. I kind of cheated and only posted a polished version of the first scene before the deadline because the rest was still in shambles. The first scene was what I named the fic after and could have stood alone, but I had epic plans! That turned out not so epic but still very long. XD;; I'm too influenced by stuff I read. X3 Yeah, I haven't really written for a mystery fandom before. But omgggg, I so wanted to write a Tactics fic. Wings! Memory problems! Magical master and slave (though, it wasn't focused on that much. XD)! It's also a kinda mystery fandom, but with spirits. X3

The amount it grew was not in my plans at all, but I guess my attempts at romance always turn out looooong when I feel a lot needs to happen before the characters would actually get to the point of confessing or wanting to be together or even realizing they're in love... yeaah, looking at romance fics I've written, they've mostly all been long. Really wish I could have aimed for something around 2000 words. =P I like reading long stories myself though, so I wish I were better (and quicker) at writing what I like to read. XD
