(To
colors_tcg members and mods, thank you for still sticking around even during LJ's outage. I've decided to take a break while LJ is being wonky (since I can't even make any comments or posts the majority of the time) and will be back to updating things when it's less difficult to do so. August release will still be happening. Hopefully by then LJ will have survived through this latest bout of DDos attacks).
I shouldn't even be trying, but let's see if this goes through. I typed up a long post (this I have saved) and then a shorter post on my tablet hoping that might work better (that I don't have saved), and neither posted. I just hope there doesn't end up being a million posts from me later if it so happens that those entries did post correctly! The short post was about whether or not I should consider haunting microblogging sites like tumblr.
While I love the blog format and am sad that we've taken to microblogging so much (and I am the type to stick to one thing to the bitter end), perhaps it's time to join the crowd. I go where the content is, and where there are friends to meet and keep in touch with. Lj still seems to be the go to place for fics though. Dreamwidth is still a fairly quiet in comparison, and I don't think people truly consider tumblr a place to post fic. Do people post fic on tumblr? I've been considering for a long time if I want to move my fic elsewhere, since this journal of mine has become quite messy with random fandom junk, but then I started this journal for it to be a fic journal (and look how that ended up). Probably if I started a fic journal, the same thing would happen again. I guess I'll wait until DW goes through with the option of importing by tags, as that will make separating my posts a lot easier. In any case, this will be my main haunt for quite some time yet unless everyone jumps ship.
First with my internet down, and then LJ down, I've been checking ffnet a lot more (goodness...), dreamwidth, and watching stuff.
Anyway, you can find me below, though very inactive for the first two. My tumblr is brand new, and I don't know what to do with it.

Harry Potter 7-2
The ennnnnd. I feel a little sad that this was it, though technically the last book was it. I was quite amazed at how tickets sold out for opening weekend (and opening night of course). My friends and I had to go to a theater that's a bit farther away than our usual since ours was sold out (for the morning showing!!). We were quite late, but still managed all right seats, though a couple was right smack in between us. I loved Neville in this movie. He sure played a big part! Snape's death scene moved me the most. The scene I was waiting the most for was Narcissa's with announcing Harry's death. Wanted to see how that would play out. She seemed to approach Harry on her own?
There was little talking in this movie compared to the previous one, since I guess the previous one already covered all the drama and misunderstandings and explanations. This one was mostly all action until the end, with very little time spent on any of the deaths, except for Snape's. Oh, but there was random kissing. Molly's line to Bellatrix didn't play out as I thought it would (it seemed to come out of nowhere?) Remus had one good line, a lot more than what many others had! Neville and Luna seemed to have a thing going on, though my head was going, what about Hannah? Neville and Luna make a lot more sense to me though, than Neville and Hannah. :3;;
I laughed when Voldemort hugged Draco.
Did Teddy show up in the epilogue scene? D: I was looking for him!
This got me back into an HP mood for a bit, so I've been reading some HP fics. Strangely, Draco x Astoria ones (who the heck is Astoria, right?). With so little known about her, she's basically whatever fic writers want to make her out to be.
Captain America
I have suddenly been watching a lot of Marvel movies. I almost know next to nothing about Marvel, but after watching this and Thor (and X-Men: First Class), I have been completely sucked into the movie verse at least. I think it'll be fascinating to see these characters come together in the Avengers. *___* (I so want to see Loki again. I loved his scenes in Thor and well, didn't really care much for Thor's scenes and Earth and just wanted to see what Loki was up to, haha, so it will be awesome to see him again, though he's probably going to be a lot more twisted than before. I still can't believe I left the theater before the after-credits scene in Thor... OTL. So I have yet to see that Loki scene that connects him to the Avengers).
But yeah, enough about Loki. XD;; Captain America! It was fascinating to watch, and amusing at times. I was quite amazed at how tiny Steve appeared in the beginning. I read up on how that effect was achieved after the movie. :3
I didn't know what to expect from the movie, but I liked it as someone who doesn't know a thing about Captain America. I liked Steve as a character, even though he was quite foolhardy at times, even though he later had the physical prowess to back up his foolhardiness. Loved his relationship with his friend.
I didn't expect the movie to end that way despite what was revealed at the beginning of the movie. OTL So he's a superhero that's out of his time? That makes for another interesting story right there! :O (For a moment, I was wondering if everything had been fake, that they'd been implanting fake memories, haha, but I would have felt cheated if that was the case).
I also felt he's a little outclassed compared to other superheros (he's just human! a super strong one with a shield, but still just a human!), so I wonder how he'll fit in with the other superheroes in the next movie.
Now I want to watch Ironman too. I haven't watched Ironman or Ironman 2!
Trigun Badlands Rumble
Suddenly, an anime movie? Went to watch this at one of my local theaters! There were so many guys in the theater! 0____0;; It was almost all guys!
It's a sad thing that even though I have watched Trigun a long, long time ago, I somehow managed to only watch every other episode of it since I thought there was only 1 episode per disc, even though there were 2 per disc. OTL I did watch the last episode though, and I knew and remembered enough about the characters to enjoy this movie.
The moment Vash spoke, I immediately recognized that he's voiced by Onosoka Masaya (who voices Momoshiro from Tenipuri)! It's something I didn't notice before, since I wasn't as much into seiyuu back then when I first watched Trigun. But Onosoka. Man, he does silly voices well.
I liked the lighthearted moments in this movie, and how Vash was cool despite being goofy. Wolfwood too. :D I like anime movies like this one that take place during the series (I don't like AUs, reboots, or retellings all that much with anime movies... what's the point of them?)
Ikemen desu ne
In addition to movies, I suddenly watched some jdrama. I say suddenly, since I don't watch jdrama all that much, but this one I'll be following! I liked the original kdrama (You're Beautiful/Minamishineyo) that this was a remake of, so I'm interested to see how this version will turn out.
This is the story of a crossdressing nun who takes the place of her twin brother in a boyband. XD;; Silly premise that leads to silly situations. XD;;; The remake so far is quite fast-paced and a lot of scenes are almost the same. Even the songs are the same, just translated! (The songs are quite a staple of the series though, so I can see why they might want to stick to that). I like the quicker pacing though, since the kdrama did get very draggy and full of waterworks. I'm hoping this version will continue with the pacing and skip all the draggy parts.
Mio (crossdressing heroine) is probably the best looking in the series, haha. XD; I seriously think she looks better than all the guys. During the first episode when she was wearing the hat, I thought she looked a little like Yanagi Kotarou (1st cast Echizen Ryoma from Tenimyu)!
Ouran High School Host Club
Interestingly enough, there are two other current jdrama with crossdressing heroines (is this the season of crossdressing heroines?), and one of those is Ouran, the other being HanaKimi. Since Takagi Shinpei (Momo in Tenimyu) and Takagi Manpei were cast as the twins, I was a little curious. I watched the first episode. It is so over the top. XD; I probably won't be following this, but I did think the twins were very cool. XDDD
Anyone know why HanaKimi is being redone? I haven't watched the previous version, but it confuses me why there's a remake only a few years after the first run.
IS otoko demo onna demo nai sei
I've been reading the manga for this series. It is so touching and makes me choke up when I read it. I didn't think there'd be a jdrama of this series. There are quite a lot of jdrama out there of manga that I don't know about though.
The gist of this story is that Haru is IS, intersexual, and runs into a lot of problems because of it, but Haru always stands up strong against adversary, and Haru's family supports Haru while Haru tries to make people understand what being IS is like. I hope the drama depicts Haru's journey and strength well. The first episode already made me choke up. They start off with Haru not being recognized as a boy, forced to enroll as a girl since that's what his birth certificate says. I'll be following this if I have time!
Natsume Yuujinchou San
I'm so behind with anime. I haven't been following anime episode by episode since Bakuman. I'm trying to follow Natsume Yuujinchou San as best as I can though. I just love this series so much, with each of the little stories. Even though people say the series is mostly episodic and that you can probably jump in anywhere without getting too confused, there is overall character growth. I certainly don't think Natsume would have been able to confront one of his childhood bullies from the very start.
But yeah, Natsume~ <3 The atmosphere of this series is amazing.
Hanasaku Iroha
Trying to marathon this one and catch up with the recent episodes! I like the slice-of-life aspect, and the work focus.
Ohana is quite an interesting protagonist. I'm currently around episode 12.
