Legend of Sun Knight prequel of sorts
Ahhhh, 女武 (female...warrior or female martial arts... my fail translation of the title) is actually about the first generation of Holy Knights. Before they became knights/legends. How did I not know this?? Have to read it sometime... and so yeah, one of the first generation is actually female. XD;
Pics of the 1st generation.
Pokemon Black & White
I've been playing Black. Currently battling the Elite Four and dying very badly, pft. My team is so weak! I've never been terribly good at training my teams though... for SoulSilver, I actually used a pokemon I transferred from a previous game as part of my team (he is like my ultimate Pokemon catching Pokemon, so I've been transferring him from game to game). I would've done the same for this game if I could've. XD;; He's a Kricketune by the name of Poke'Masta, hahaha. I chose Snivy as my starter and so wanted to name him Snivellus. But I named him Snive in the end.
N is probably my favorite villain out of the Pokemon games so far. I also love his appearance. A whole lot.
The gyms are all very strange. Very unique, I guess.
I spent a whole lot of time on SoulSilver and still haven't finished the game. I didn't spend much time on Black, but I'm already at the Pokemon League? It does feel like the League itself is just there for the sake of being there since there's a lot of towns I can't even visit yet. Hopefully I'll beat the Elite Four soon. XD I'm trying to see how far I can get without using items...
Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood
My marathoning is taking me quite a long time. XD; On episode 41 now! *___* And now I'm going, "just one more episode." After another episode... "Maybe one more." >__>
-can't stop comparing the beginning with the first anime series. this beginning was pretty rushed. and I didn't empathize with the characters as much here.
-I now understand Japanese a lot more when I didn't understand much at all while I was watching the first series. It makes for a different experience too. *sniggers at the use of petenshi regarding Father Cornello* (I cannot help but think of Niou...)
-kind of miss the talk about "equivalent exchange" at the beginning of each episode. instead, we get a narrator about stuff. *skips over it all the time*
-why is Ed's hair (and Hoenheim's hair) outlined in yellow while everyone else's hair is outlined in black?? *stares* Winry's hair is yellow and it's outlined in black... *stares some more* Is this their way of telling us their hair is... golden? T___T;;
-Envy = voiced by Takayama Minami. <33333 I don't remember his voice from before, but eeeeee! I can still hear tones of Conan from her voice here, but I just loooove her evil voice. :D
-Greed = no longer voiced by Suwabe Junichi, aw. I miss his voice. Greed also... got offed pretty quickly here. That Greed at least.
-lots of characters' importance shifted. Izumi = don't see much of her at all. At least not so far, when she played a much larger role in the 2003 version of the anime. Maria Ross = introduced very early on, got booted out very early on too. She was my favorite character before. I still love her lots. <333 Though she doesn't get much of a role here. *wonders if she'll be back in the story later*
-Shao May (Xiao Mei) is SO CUTE.
-Al is also very cute.
-scenes that got cut - Al wasn't shown picking up stray cats here. First thing he picked up was Ling, and then it was Xiao Mei. Would've been nice to show us the picking up cats part instead of just telling us about it.
-Yoki's run-in with Ed was all done in a flashback!! What?? Since he's actually a recurring character now, his run-in with Ed is actually kind of important. No wonder I couldn't place him when he first appeared in front of Scar.
-Ling. Finally I got to see him animated. XD; I remember being disappointed back then when I was reading the manga yet he never showed up in the anime. I kind of got lost with the manga after that and stopped buying it though.
-Ahhh, Hoenheim. All these years, I've been under the wrong impression because of where I stopped. XD;;
-I like Roy a lot more here. *remembers not liking him much* Same goes for Winry.
-I think I felt that Ed and Al had a better chance in the 2003 version. Here, everyone is only scraping by because they're being allowed to. Everything has been foreseen or manipulated to be that way in the first place. Ahhhh, what a bleak situation.
I'll probably be finished with watching by the end of the week. XD;
