Fanime 2010 pics!
I took so few pics compared to previous years. I was very lazy and hesitant to stop people. I kept thinking to myself, "If I see that cosplayer again, I'll ask her/him for a photo." :'D Last year, I also looked up all the gathering times so I could go and take pics of gatherings of series I liked. I didn't do that this year, but I still ran into some gatherings. The FFVII one was SO CUTE. You have to take a look. :D
Thursday, Day 0
I went to pick up my registration. By the time I got there (which was only around half an hour after Badge pick up started, there was a long, long line all the way to the end of the building. I kept walking and walking and walking. I was in Shuga Chara cosplay as Kairi since I didn't want to attempt wearing my wig for Tadase and end up with an allergic reaction again. I heard lots of comments going, "Look! Shugo Chara!" Or, "It's Kairi!" There were also people in line trying to guess where I was from to pass the time. None of them got it right, but they didn't tell me what their guesses were. XD;
I met up with yoshikochan in line, but it was too bad she had no time to change into her Nadeshiko cosplay! The registration line took forever and ever. By the time I finally got my badge, it was already past the suggested time for lining up at Swap Meet. I headed over to the Swap Meet place to line up. I was #77 on the list, pretty far down, so I didn't get in until way later. I only had a half space. It was way crowded. Yoshiko's stuff was very impressive. XD; Diane helped sell when Yoshiko was away. I only had mostly super old posters to sell (they're seriously 10 years old), but people awww'd over the Oddish poster I had. There was this one Gundam poster of some Gundam that I didn't know that I thought no one would want, but someone bought that when I was still in the middle of taking it out. It wasn't even unfolded yet, but the guy already knew what it was! :O

gem2niki and jen_kat came later on. I went home with them. :3 This was already my longest Thursday at Fanime ever! I never knew there were so many people at the convention on Thursday already. Wow. I was kind of...already sore from carrying my stuff. :'D And it was only Thursday!
Friday, Day 1
Friday, I was all set in my Ema cosplay. :3 I er, popped out the lens of my sunglasses and had my dad put in plastic (that we colored with pink sharpie) in the frame. Because no Ema cosplay is complete without pink sunglasses! My socks were a pain to wear though because they kept falling down. ;___; I still had not figured out how to make my hair look like Ema's by this time, so this is basically just my normal hair...
I made a quick first trip through the Dealer's Room and the Artist Alley to see if anything caught my interest. I bought a Kaito/Saguru phone strap in the AA. Yay for Magic Kaito stuff! :D
I also saw this lovely Gauche cosplayer. *__*
And there was a cool Celty cosplayer outside the AA! There were other DRRR!! cosplayers, but I only took this one pic. I liked one of the Shizuo cosplayers who had a bent traffic sign. All of the Shizuo cosplayers amused me because they all carried different traffic signs.
Later on, I also ran into a Klavier and a GS4 Ema. They were really cool. The Ema went, "Look, it's mini me!" Wish I took a pic with her. XD
gem2niki and I went to the Flow concert at night. They were so awesome. ♥ I have heard all of their anime songs before and particularly loved Days (Eureka seveN), Sign (Naruto Shippuden), and Go (Naruto). I actually didn't remember the Code Geass songs very much. I was kind of drifting off a bit until they sang Days. I perked up at that and found it very interesting seeing who sang what part because I can never tell from just the songs. XD; When they sang Sign, I was imagining the opening sequence for Naruto in my head. Go was very awesome because everyone was singing along. ♥
After Flow, gem2niki and I headed back to the convention. We wandered around Swap Meet to see how long jen_kat was going to sell. We decided to grab dinner and come back later.
There was a very cool Russel cosplayer, but the lighting was bad at night so I couldn't get a good pic of him at all. =/ I took so many tries that he stopped posing later on. XDD

We grabbed dinner at Hydration (that took forever...I even managed to catch three pokemon while gem2niki was waiting for her chicken).
We got back to the convention, headed back to Swap Meet, and bought stuff. I only bought some Prince of Tennis game guides. The girl was like $2 each, no I'll give them to you for $1 each. I guess she really didn't want them anymore. XD; I was glad to take them off her hand since I had only ever seen scans of these guides.
Saturday, Day 2
Saturday was a busy, busy day for me. I went to my MA graduation in the morning and baked under the sun. I wore half of my Ema cosplay underneath my robes. XD; Since the Ace Attorney gathering was at one, I changed in the car on dropped in for that.
I coerced my brother to help me take pics. Sadly, he most likely lost his Pokewalker at this time. ):
All the lawyers. Meekins gave Apollo his megaphone for him to shout "OBJECTION", but Apollo couldn't get it to work for him.

Police force pic. I probably shouldn't have been in there since I'm Ema who's still a student! (You might notice that I'm wearing different socks. I went "screw thigh highs. I'll wear my over the knee socks. I wore different socks each day, hehe).

I left for lunch with my family after this and didn't get back to the convention until way later. I also changed out of my outfit. Walking around the convention without cosplaying made me feel weird. I think that was one of the reasons why I felt bored later on!
Anyway, I came back to the convention and saw Pac Man.

Yay, Fire Emblem 9/10 cosplayers! Kurthnaga, Soren, AND Ranulf, three characters I like very much. Kurthnaga and Soren both had colored contacts on and looked very impressive in person. I think they were selling in the Artist Alley too. Soren has one huge book here. |D I miss cosplaying Soren. :3
I went to the Masquerade after this. There were some cool skits. Hm, ACP's videos aren't viewable to the public yet, but some others have their videos up. These are not mine of course.
FFXIII walk on - This was cute. They made the walk on work.
Ranma - Impressive cast and lots of in character interaction for those who know the series.
Miyazaki - They linked all the Ghibli films together. Was cool.
Super Yaoi Brothers - ...hahahaha.
Kuroshitsuji - Sebastian is one hell of a butler and basically knows everything. And Ciel learns how to dance.
Battle Royale - All the students were using weapons from different series. It was amusing identifying them. Watch to the end to see which "weapon" won in the very end. XD
Dancing Moogles - Were these the two guys that did that hilarious Pokemon skit before? XD; Anyway, this was hilarious too. You have to be curious about that Tifa and Cloud curtain...
Resident Evil - I want to eat...your face?
Zelda - Two people is all it takes to make an amusing skit. Link tries to get an answer...
Inuyasha - Inuyasha fights with a puppy Kagome found. XD
CCS - They were very cute.
Mario Party - This looks nicer on video since I couldn't see the pumps from where I sat. This makes me want to play Mario Party! I remember this mini game! They took a little long setting everything up though.
Death the Kid - A one man tap dancing show. XD
Hm, I don't see any videos for the Zelda and the CCS skits.
There was also a Sengoku Basara skit to the tune of I'll Make a Man Out of You (Japanese version). Their costumes were nice, but their skit was just fighting. XD
The Masquerade felt like it was run very smoothly to me. I enjoyed it!
I tried staying after the Masquerade to go to the Tenipuri meetup at midnight, but I couldn't manage to do it since I was so bored after the Masquerade and I was dead tired too. I wandered over to the meet up area, so that no one was there yet, took this pic of the Totoro bus and the very tired cosplayers who rode in it, and then I decided to call it a day. I crashed when I got home. XD;
Sunday, Day 3
I got to the convention in the afternoon. First thing I saw was the Shugo Chara gathering. Not too many people were there yet. Lots of Amu. There was a cute Rima, but I didn't get her pic.
I do love the scarecrow.
I'm not too sure who they are, but they were cool.

Since my brother lost his Pokewalker the day before, I went to Con Ops to see if it had been found. No such luck. =/ While wandering around, I saw these cool Zelda cosplayers.
Tsubasa cosplayers. I don't know if the Fai that was talking the pictures was part of their group, but there was a Fai!
The Super Yaoi Brothers who were in the Masquerade. XD; People in AA were going, "OMG LOOK AT THAT."
gem2niki and I went to LMC at night. I actually don't know any of their songs, haha, even though I'm sure I heard some before. They were good at getting the crowd heated...or perhaps this crowd was just that much crazier to start off with. There were definitely A LOT OF GIRLS because the cheering was more high pitched than the one at Flow. Flow's English was pretty good. They barely had an accent, and they even used pretty complicated sentence structure. LMC's English was funnier, but the fans cheered at everything anyway. XD;
The security was very strict. They made me throw away my empty container and my ziplock bag with a napkin in it. Seriously, what's wrong with them? The staff patrolled up and down the aisles throughout the concert. Since I was in the side bleachers, I noticed whenever the staff cosplaying as Misa walked by. She had to tell a lot of people to put their phones away. She even leaped over a chair to stop one guy!
LMC seemed to be looking our way a lot. gem2niki was being paranoid, wondering if it was because we were sitting down. =P But then, she also mentioned that Flow was sitting on the second floor above us??
After LMC, we had dinner with jen_kat, kurot, and Diane, whose LJ name I could probably find through Jen's journal, but I'm too lazy to search at the moment. XD; Everyone looked dead tired while we were waiting for our food at Flames! We were fairly far from the convention, so I was one of the few people in cosplay there. XD;

Monday, Day 4
The last day is always my shopping day. Only thing I did on Monday was buy stuff and sit around playing Pokemon. XD;
This guy was in the Dealer's Room. His outfit was cool. He could light up! XD
In the AA, two girls wanted my picture. I also wanted a picture with one of them. XD They asked me if I had seen any other AA cosplayers around. I told them about the Klavier that I had seen earlier in the Dealer's Room. That Klavier had stopped me for a pic. I wish I had taken one in return!
I bought lots of prints. I'm pretty surprised at myself. It was mostly because...I didn't see any series I liked in the Dealer's room, but there were actually prints of these series instead. So I bought prints. I have no use for them though. =/
I stopped by Game Time at Stage Zero and knew both answers to the questions they asked (about Flow and LMC songs). I felt like I was one of the first to raise my hand! They even pointed at me, but in the end, they picked the girl next to me to answer. =/ Darn, I wanted free stuff.
As I was leaving the convention, I spotted the CCS cosplayers who were in Masquerade. They were cute, so I asked for a pic.
Junk I bought, along with some freebies I received from yoshikochan and jen_kat who both sold at Swap Meet. XD; Ah, the Ema pin's actually cut out of this pic. Aw. XD; But it was a pin of young Ema!

On Day 1, I was thinking to myself, wow, only day 1? This feels like forever! But by Day 4, I was thinking, whoa, it's already the last day?? Time passes in strange ways. XD
Right after Fanime, I went to Kinokinuya and bought the Ace Attorney Artbook I had been eying forever. I thought it might be cheaper at Fanime. It wasn't, so I finally decided to buy it at my bookstore. It's so worth it. <3
