Leave a comment saying, "COMMENT" and I will give you five words I associate with you. Then post about what they mean to you, along with this, at your journal.
The words I got from
hibimaosuki were fishbhones, Yagyuu, being trilingual, my username, and
twistserve_tcg. :)
[1] Fishbones
I collect them. And everyone knows that. They're like my symbol now! I like collecting things (before fishbones, I collected stickers). :3 I got my first fishbone necklace from my aunt, and after that people started gifting me fishbone related items which you can see
here! From all over the world! People sometimes think I'm very catlike. This kind of adds to that. I have lots of various fishbone items, from jewelry to pot holders to soap and magnets. My sister-in-law even gave me a fishbone...cat tag with Lucathia carved on it. Haha, I'm not a pet cat...anyway, fishbones are my symbol, and people generally notice that right away. I guess I make it obvious.
[2] Yagyuu
I am seriously in love with his Laser Beam. (the move, though I love his newest song too) That uh, started it all. |D It helps that Yagyuu's a megane because I like megane characters and characters who appear polite (but could possibly mean you harm...like Soujirou from RK with his smiling face and Kurama from YYH with his Minamino Shuiichi side and Sai from Naruto with his social ineptitude that are all hiding something dangerous underneath). Konomi even says in PairPuri 4 that the Yagyuu and Niou switch was the turning point of PoT (I guess, turning point into the absurd!). XD;
Since I'm writing this, I had to listen to Yagyuu's Laser Beam song. The part I love best from this song is the chorus of "la-ser beam la-ser beam" in the background. Nicovideo users are hilarious. A lot of comments (all saying "laser beam laser beam") fly across the screen when that part of the song comes on. He's been dubbed "subtitle no oujisama."
Take a look! [3] Being trilingual
I love different languages~. I speak Mandarin at home, English at work and school, and Japanese pretty much...nowhere. I play games and read manga in Japanese though. I'm very glad my Chinese is as good as it is because how would I communicate with my family otherwise? Makes me feel more connected with my culture, and it's darn useful too. I really love reading things in the original language, which is why I started learning Japanese in college. I used to buy manga that was translated in Chinese. Now I don't anymore...so I kind of read Chinese less now. I started reading some Korean manhwa this year and thought it was too bad I don't know a single word of Korean. XD; I really wish my dad spoke to me in Taiwanese when I was younger. It's so hard to learn it now. I encourage learning a second language. It provides a different set of lens for understanding the world.
[4] My username
It's basically a combination of the names of two of my original characters, Lucathia and Rykatu, who I created when I was Ryoma's age. OTL. Lucathia is from messing with the name Lufia (which I got from the video game by the same name). I changed it to Luthia and then decided to add "ca" to make it look like "cat" was part of the name. That started me with a whole series of characters named the same way, but I thought "kat" would be cooler than "cat" and look less obvious, so future characters all had "kat" instead of "cat" in their names. Rykatu's name was from splicing the Japanese word for dragon and sticking "kat" in there. So it became Ry-kat-u. With just one u because 2 would've looked weird (and I totally thought it was just a short vowel). XD; Most of my RL friends know I go by Lucathia online, so at one point when I wanted to hide my online stuff, I went by Rykatu. After a bit, I didn't really mind if any of them found out, so I combined the two names in case anyone wanted to find me by the name Rykatu. I think having two parts to my name is unnecessary by now, but I can't really do much about this journal regarding that. XD; I totally think of myself as Lucathia even in daily life sometimes. (but never Rykatu, because to me Rykatu will always be the half dragon boy that I created. He is my ice mage in MMORPGs)

twistserve_tcgMy life for the past year! At least, a good chunk of it. I've always loved Tenipuri, but this brought it to a whole new level. I learned a lot of the characters' and actors' names, got to know a lot of Tenipuri fans and such. Shin Tenipuri is what inspired me to start the TCG. The TCG has made me conclude that yes, I am a completely hopeless Tenipuri fan. Now every time I see new PoT stuff, I think of how to make that into a collectible deck for Twist Serve. 1 year anniversary next month! :D THANK YOU EVERYONE WHO HAVE ENJOYED THE TCG AND HELPED KEEP IT RUNNING. You guys are the best. ;___; I set up a second monitor so I could watch anime while I make cards. XD; That's why there was a sudden surge of upcoming cards last last week. I finally found stuff to occupy myself while making cards. Listening to 30 minutes of rajipuri every week was too short. XD;;
*coughs* Tenipuri fans should join us in collecting pixel cards!! It's addicting!

Last week, I bought Aozora Yell v2-3, Heaven Company, Yankee-kun to Megane-chan v15, and La Corda d'Oro v14. :) Hihara on the cover of v14 looks so dangerous! I bought AAI today, but I wonder if I should still finish the Japanese version first. I'm already on the 4th case...though it did take me a year to get there. XD; I'm looking forward to see how they localized everything!
