Chinese Tenipuri s2 (episodes 17-20 end)
Finished watching the series. The beginning was funnier while the ending was a lot more serious. Here's hoping for a third season one day!
- Chun Long does indeed have an injury. No one can complain now with the doubles change. Liu Lian (Yanagi) is scary with his data!
- Zhou Zhu hasn't had much appearances at all!!
- ...everyone's leaving. First Long Ma's dad, now their coach, and even Qu Xing (An) can't make it. I guess...this is a way of taking away their support so they have to think things through on their own.
- Rain. Delying the match. Ah, this is going along the anime storyline.
- Here comes the match between Ryoma and Sanada. Darn, I wanted to see a match between Long Ma and Qi Yuan (Kirihara). Does this mean Long Ma's not going to awaken? Ah, Long Ma's in a slump...
- Lin Ying's painting got damaged before it got to the competition site. That sucks. ):
- Hmm, Atobe and Akutsu are both here to help Long Ma get out of his slump. I bet this is just so both of them can have more screentime. =P
- Doubles 2 match!! Hai Tang has completed the hadoukyu! Such a weird thought. He gave his bandanna to Cheng Wu for him to wrap his injury...so not clean. =P I mean, hair's got to be oily!
- Marui's tightrope!! Yesss. Too bad he doesn't say many lines none about his genius.
- Yagyuu-Niou versus Oishi-Kikumaru! Ah, all of these follow the anime after all. ): Yagyuu has his golf shot and takes over the match at the end. Playing 1 against 2...he's sure strong. Boring way to play though.
- Zhen Zhi threw away his data and played kind of like Cheng Wu with his jack knife and smashes and everything. He kept remembering Hai Tang's words about not thinking so much and just hitting the ball to the place that's hardest to return. His glasses fell off!
- Qi Yuan (Kirihara) versus Zhou Zhu. Zhou Zhu finally gets some screen time. He plays aggressively right from the start. Heh, Kirihara's red eyes are just done for a moment. His pupils glow red (more like orange) instead of the rest of his eye. Looks kind of like lava. Not much character growth for Qi Yuan here...he just gets scared, but at least Sanada tells him that he's hit his limit and now has to surpass it. Zhou Zhu similarly doesn't get much character growth either...I was hoping they'd go with the getting temporarily blind storyline.
- Long Ma versus Sanada. The rest of Rikkai all had to leave to go to the hospital. Sanada played with the thought of finishing the match as soon as possible. I do believe that he lost in his haste and in not having his team with him. I mean, look at Long Ma. So much support and cheering! Sanada's shots are super fast, so fast that his swings can't be seen. Long Ma pulls out moves from opponents he's faced before (the one from Jyousei looks the funniest. Deep impulse...?).
- After the match, Yukimura wakes up and finds out that they've lost. He promises that they'll snatch victory back at the nationals. So that means there IS another tournament after this. Hope for a third season that covers the nationals...?
- Chun Long's dad's new restaurant looks a lot less impressive. ^^;;
- Long Ma plans to go to America to visit his dad who got injured. The professional scout comes back and tells Long Ma of a tournament in America. Looks like Long Ma plans to attend, but his dad comes back before Long Ma has even left! What the...that means Long Ma's going to America solely for the tournament instead of visiting his dad now.
- Long Ma's hugging his dad though with a big smile on his face. So cute.
- Man, Guo Guang hasn't shown up at all. Poor guy!
