how to produce a prince
Haha, so while making the role deck for twistserve_tcg, I was hit by the urge to finally finish watching Hice Cool, a jdrama about curling (I'm bad at finishing watching things I start, even movies). It's silly and over-the-top, but their antics made me grin. I saw links to How to Produce a Prince (Tadashii Ouji no Tsukurikata) from there...and ended up watching that too.
That series is even sillier. A school that has just gone co-ed admits 10 boys...who are less than ideal. 11 girls try to transform the boys into their ideal prince. (Why would they have the right to do that...but leaving that aside...) The series really just focuses on 5 of the boys while the other 5 get their transformation right away. I was quite amused by Aiba's character...a rich, narcissist who turns out to have a fondness for roasted yam. He also throws in random English phrases. I also had a soft spot for Kiriyama Renn's character, Kirin, who came off as an overly energetic guy...
It was silly and idealistic but fun. Anyone else have any other recommendations for me? :3 These were both series with Tenimyu actors in them, hehe. I might give the other series Aiba's in a try.
