Game last night was great. Still a relief that I don't have to spend my time arguing with players. D'Gran was a huge threat to the players, but they dealt with it brilliantly. Tons of XP for them though, so soon to level up to 8th.
mark was ace, wore a critical hit to the tune of 34hp and still kept on going. Real teamwork though. Pru stood behind Mark, and kept him standing up with the fabled cure lights. Alison was cool in freeing the rogue NPC, who assisted in the fight, and Brian did an excellent job of tanking as normal. Not bad considering that another mage appeared in the middle of the fight, and was dealt with by Alison immediately. The moral of that particular story is this. 4th level mages with 13hp really shouldn't get up in the shit of a 7th level party. That being the case, a punch in the stomach is all it takes to put them down. (Mages pay note!)
Today I am back at work, feeling a little bit more positive. Still going through the process of putting my CV together, with the help of Torment. Most of my backlog is being cleared, thanks mainly to the help of Andy, and to a lesser degree Chris. This team works really well together. I have no idea what a mess I would be without their assistance sometimes.
Possibility of going out this evening. But going to visit my mates Pete and Sam. Will stay, but get no sleep, by virtue of the fact that we will get to bed about 2am and the kids will get up about 6am, no sleep there then. At least there will be no pressure to run a game though!
