The legacy of Gameboys!!!!

I'm sure you all have seen the new Gameboy Micro that just came out (see a review here: http://gameboy.ign.com/articles/645/645774p1.html) and this really got me thinking... How many of these damn things are going to come out! I must say that the Gameboy in general is definitely the "Street Fighter II" of handheld game systems. I have an original GB (grey) and also got a GBA sp (platinum) and realized how much I love my Gameboys. I still play classics like "Metroid II" and "Super Mario Land" and have been really impressed with games for the GBA such as "Tron 2.0 Killer App" and "Metroid Fusion/Zero Mission". I have recently been researching all of the different models and variations of the system after remembering my friend had an original green Gameboy as pictured above. These were rare in the states and were more popular in Japan. For the original they made black/green/clear/yellow/red models that I didn't even know about. Another one was the Gameboy Light system that only came out in Japan which was a backlit green screen GB that was a little bigger than the GB pocket. Check out this page for more info on the weirder Gameboys like the Astro Boy edition Gameboy Light, and the glow in the dark Gameboy pocket -> http://members.tripod.com/faberp/GBL.htm. Bust out that old gameboy and play some of the best handheld games ever made. The screen may have been puke green in it's infant years, but I must say the Gameboy has grown up into quite the sophisticated package with the newer SP/Micro variations.
