Christmas Dinner #1

Okay wow, here come all the Christmases now...! Yesterday, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day... @_@ We already did a shop before yesterday for my 'birthday' stuff. I got shoes, a nice light jacket and this fuzzy housecoat when we did the shop - but yesterday was just full of amazing.

All week I've been baking for yesterday... I did about six recipes, a couple of them doubled... so there were a LOT OF COOKIES. And then my aunt made orignaca... (there's an accent in there somewhere.) My brother came by and we all headed to my grandmother's... I was suffering a headache from about noon but I was too excited about seeing family to much care about that. We had LOTS OF YUMMY FOOD FOR DINNER. Visited with a bunch of family... THEN PRESENTS. FFFF. Auntie got me The Child Thief for my birthday - I'VE BEEN DESPERATELY WANTING TO READ IT. WHY AM I NOT READING IT RIGHT NOW? BECAUSE MY EYES HURT FROM READING IT ALL MORNING. But so far it's already dark and amazing. She also realized that I like the warped fairytales and found a book called "Mirror Mirror" by the same person who wrote the Wicked novels. It sounds like a Snow White rewrite so it'll be really really fun to read, I'm sure. My grandmother was the big spender of the day, I think... she got me a medic alert bracelet, which I've desperately been needing, but it's in white gold. I slept with it on last night and so far no allergic reactions. It's almost like it's not there, which is kinda cool. My pappa and nanny got me these SUPER WARM COMFY SOFT SHEETS @_@ They have them at their house and all I wanna do is like... curl up in them forever. They also got my brother and I both these jars of Jelly Bellies... *u* HEEEEE. Nomnomnom. And nan got me this adorable little whisk that has like... a heart inside. It's so I can make auntie lattes at home <3

There were some really beautiful cards... my aunt's almost made me cry but I thwarted it by beating on my brother a little. <3 Gotta love brothers. Grandma baked me a cake, too, with her homemade icing - gods do I love that icing. It's so light and fluffy and even though it's sweet it's not OVERWHELMINGLY sweet. It's just plain delicious. As was the cake - cranberries, walnuts and orange zest in a heavier cake. Usually she makes me a blueberry and lemon cake (my favourite of her cakes) but this one was really good, and unexpected which was kinda nice. <3 Seeing '21' on a cake kinda shoved my age in my face, though, even though I've still got about six days until that actually rings true.

But now if you'll all excuse me, I'm gonna go eat jelly bellies and read The Child Thief some more... or maybe play videogames. The headache still hasn't subsided. @_@ So we'll see.

Chuchu!
