Maybe it's from being an only child & not wanting to get pegged for something missing, disappearing or misplaced. For these things, if ur slick about it, they won't blame you for. Cause anyone adult can easily do these things & not autonatically think of you. But you have to be careful what items you choose to mess with. If ur six & it's a lunchbox or a barbie, they know it's you & you get blamed for it regardless.
I'm talkin about using something that an adult would usually use, like ur grandma's perfume,not her favorite or the one she uses all the time, but still a pretty enough one that you like. Now I'm not talkin about wearing it, cause grandma or mom will smell it & g will know it's not in her room & automatically know! I would like to just have things that were hers or anyone else's in the house that I loved. I loved my whole family so I would have fun with everyone's stuff. Sometimes I would put one of my moms or grandmas scented lotions on @night before bed, just a little after mom tucked me in. By morning time it had worn off enough for anyone to not notice anything.
I know it made me feel closer to them, even though I already felt extremely close to my family then. I had a great childhood from what I could remember.
But now I know, as I've gotten older, that I liked getting away with things, anything I could. Didn't matter how small, actually the smaller the better. The bigger things signify expensive & more personal which I would rather not do. I'm not lookin to hurt people or break a friendship, I just want their small possessions.
As soon as I got old enough to have friends & go over their house after school, that's when I started doing it to my friends. I don't mean any harm from it, it's a sign of affection actually. If I don't like you, I'm not gonna be taking ur stuff. For the people I do like that I hang out with, my friends & family, it's like I'm on auto-pilot. I do it w/o thinking. Sometimes it'll be completely sub-concious & others completely consciously.
I might like the pen ur using: I'll ask to borrow it & really do need it, but just not give it back to you...unless you ask for it of course! I'm not gonna say no you can't have it back!
