Guess who was in my cab last night?
I dont know if you know or not, but last night there was a concert in Indy at the Music Mill in Clearwater (one of the places I drive to/from a lot), where only 300 people could attend. I tried to get tickets, but sadly failed. I drove last night in hopes to catch some of the people that went to the concert and tell me how it went. Then, as I was dropping a fare off downtown, I get a call from the Sheraton hotel, about five minutes from the Music Mill. It was my buddy John, and he called with some awesome news. The band, the GooGoo Dolls, needed a ride. I almost screamed in his ear! Told hiim to hold them for me, that I was all the way downtown, and that I was well on my way hauling ar$e to get there. John greeted me at the door and went to talk to the guys. Unfortunately they didnt all go with me, some decided to go to bed. I talked to the lead singer and got his autograph, and talked to some of the girls with them. Then two of the guys from the band came out and wanted to go to the MoonDog Tavern just right up the road, liked me, asked for my business card, and called me back later that night where they wanted to hang out with me for a bit. I have one of their phone numbers, and it does work cause I called him, and hes got mine. Next time hes in Indy hes going to get me free tickets to their show I gotta tell you it was awesome hanging out with some of the band!
