A lot of people are saying a lot of things, and one of the biggest is that his Facebook manifesto is profoundly leftist and the news media refuse to say it which is a good thing to say and repeat ( Read more... )

Trying to place the 'old man with a funny hat' comment...

But yeah, it's easy to pick out police targets and their families, because like any illegal gang they have all these ways of showing off their affiliation so that they can discriminate against anyone not in their gang. Those special license plate holders? That's so gang members and their families can break the law and not be punished by other gang members.
He has decided, for whatever reason, to take on this gang. Maybe he has good reasons, maybe he doesn't. But if he's half as smart as he claims they'll not going to catch him until he's racked up an impressive body count. He's had years to prepare after all, and the LAPD gang really isn't very good at being on the receiving end of violence from someone who actually knows what they're doing.

Now maybe if the LAPD didn't act EXACTLY like a street gang of bullies and toughs people might care and help them out, but me? I could really care less how many gang-members he kills, they earned this kind of response. Police here in California are hands down the worst in the USA, worse even than the 'good ole boys' in the south (where I once lived AS a northerner with NY plates on my car) are made out to be in the movies.

The gag is that in a by-the-numbers fantasy novel, the young hero meets an aged mentor - usually a wizard of some stripe, generally portrayed by an old guy wearing a funny hat.

Obviously Gandalf originates the trope. You'll see it again and again now that I've mentioned it, and probably remember ten more of them now.

Not all aged mentors have funny hats, but...

Sadly true on the LAPD as evinced by the three people they've already shot for just being in trucks that kinda looked like Chris's truck.

They've already been caught tampering with the evidence on the truck with the two old ladies in it. There's pictures of the truck before the scene was roped off and after the scene was roped off and there are more bulletholes in the truck - ie. they sprayed more holes in the truck to disguise what had already took place.

For a guy "taking on the gang" he's got a funny way of doing it. He's killed a non-LAPD woman and her non-LAPD fiance and a Riverside (not LAPD) officer.

I think that we can all agree that his alignment is at best 'Chaotic.' No matter what he may think or claim.

Like a Tarantino villain, it is important to remember that he is a villain when he gives you a speech.

No, he's lawful evil. Every target so far is aimed completely at the LAPD. He's all about making them look bad. And if he really is as good as he says, and hasn't committed suicide yet, he will bide his time now for the perfect time to strike again.

no, She was a gang member and technically so was her fiance, She was the child of a LAPD, which entitled her to all the rights of gang membership.
