My rant is no longer for corporate Adobe® (Brandon wins for naming that company); yes my previous rant applies, however I realize that it didn’t need to be half as complicated as it was, so my new rant is directed at stupid people. The woman I talked to on the phone yesterday was moronic. First off, most of my responses were “What?” because her accent was so thick. That’s not to say that foreigners are stupid, but I will say that if I can’t understand what you’re saying, and you’re text support then you’re in the wrong field of work no matter how smart you might be, and your company must not give a shit about people like me because they must know how difficult it is to understand you having interviewed you for the spot. However, accent aside, she was still too stupid to give me the correct advice as to how to fix my problem. She told me activating my product was impossible and that I wouldn’t be able to do anything about it until 24 hours had passed at which point I would have to return it and then fill out paperwork saying I’ve deleted everything I downloaded. That’s a pretty ridiculous system if it’s true, but all I know is that none of what she said was applicable. I talked to someone today, and he told me to read to him my old serial number and my new one, to press a few keys, and then type in 6 numbers into the new window that appears. Plus I didn’t even realize he had an accent until he asked if he could put me on hold for a moment. It was wonderful, and the whole thing was so easy. If I’d only talked to him yesterday it would have all been so much easier, and I wouldn’t have been in a pissy mood for having spent $199 of the company’s money and most of my work day to be told that I needed to return what I’d purchased. That bitch needs to find a job better suited for her.
