oracular & spectacular
I'm in completely new territory.
Lon's newest offering "The Book of Ordinary Oracles" showed up in my mailbox yesterday. Naturally, I cracked it open to see what was going on inside. It hadn't occurred to me previously, but this isn't really a Lon Milo book you read voraciously and complete in record time...
This is a Lon Milo book you have to live with for a very long while.
Granted, I tried out what parts of it I could (with surprisingly satisfactory results) with whatever was lying around the house, dominoes and dice most notably.
It was an odd sort of day. One of the skills I have the most confidence in and practice with is Divination; so working with exotic forms of the same art was a little bit befuddling.
Will I someday prefer dice over geomancy?? I don't know that that's true; what I do know is that I now have a more selective repetoire... Depending on the situation, I'll have more tools at my disposal.
And that's always nice.
