Log: [CLOSED] Japan and Taiwan, sparring

Despite everything else that had been going on, Taiwan had worked hard preparing for this fight. To give it less than her best would be insulting to both Japan and herself. A lot of people hadn't seemed to understand why the two of them would fight if they insisted they weren't angry at each other - because she hadn't been, not really - but she knew why Japan had challenged her in the first place. It had been a long time since either of them had had an opportunity to do something like this...It didn't really matter what she would be getting in the end, or what Japan would be giving up. Sometimes it was nice to have a fight simply for the sake of having it, to go through the familiar formalities, relearning each movement of her own and her opponent's body.

All that being said, there were other emotions hiding just beneath the surface, and some of their short and somewhat stilted conversations were evidence of that. She'd tried and failed to clear her mind properly before this fight, and as she walked to face Japan, she could only hope he wouldn't notice that easily...
