Maybe I missed it

I watch the news a lot lately, which is not advisable for the unemployed, so I'm perplexed that I haven't seen anyone make this connection:

All that "wasteful spending" in the bill will create jobs for those of us laid off from non-profit organizations, including Planned Parenthoods, crisis centers, local environment awareness agencies, community centers, and museums. While it's obvious that in the scheme of things, these minor additions will not turn the economy around, but everyone in this society needs help in all sectors of life.

Did I miss it when someone else pointed this out? We are not all cut out to pave roads. Some of us are good at encoraging acceptance and diversity so we can avoid violating the Geneva Conventions in the future. Many of those small non-profit health agencies suceeded in kicking off huge awareness movements to fund treatments and cures for thousands (millions?) of sick people.

Am I off base? It could just be the rage of the unemployed talking, but it seems obvious to me...

Side note: those of us not getting paychecks won't see those tax cuts until 2010, if at all. And the wait time on the Florida unemployment customer service line is over an hour. Guess what I'm doing tomorrow?!?
