do you read my lj: yep, infact, two of them. Two??
I did nails in the salong for 12 years. Nice! I don't know if I've posted that I just recently started getting my nails done and I absolutely love it. My hands look really good (They usually have nasty cunicles and bitten off nails so this is a big change) and I don't have to think about them for two weeks! Plus they have alot of really great designs. They're currently a dark blue grey with white stars and sparkles. Looking at them is a little pick me up . . . and hopefully I'll stop biting them. I have alot of respect for beauticians.
I loved Memiors of a Geisha too. I read it about a year ago. I'm really anxious to see the movie. I also really adore Shakira. That girl has such talented hips. My family was really involved with a hula school for a long time, so I know talented hips when I see them.
I love the way getting your nails makes you feel!! I really enjoyed that work. some women can be very pickey, but I loved to do the art on the nails. it was a fun time for me! the blue with the stars sounds very cool!!!
I know what you mean about the hips too!! I love to watch her videos! ::drool:: My hubby got me two learn to bellydance dvds for yule. I hope to be able to do some good moves by summer. It'd help since I currently do henna and have a booth space at several faires - if i could stand out front and shimmy a little to get some extra attention, that'd rock.
hula school? that'd be fun. I like the fact that you can do hula and belly dance and you're not expected to be a stick figure of a woman. I like to see some curves!
Actually, I just came over to say thank you for the kind and compassionate comments over on my LJ, but so long as I'm here, I suppose I should be neighborly:
1-3. No names, please... 8^) 4. Almost any kind of sunlight through windowglass tends to make me happy 5. "The Old Kentucky Rain" on the cafe stereo. Before that an album by local musician Dan Harmman 6-7. Yes, and I appreciate how authentic most of your entries are. That is brave. 8. I once read a book and decided to drop out of Reed College to join the Army Rangers. 9. Ummm. No. Probably not in the sense you mean 10. Here at this cafe counter, when there is warm sun through the window glass 11. Too hard to choose just one lyric (or even lyricist)... For now I'll go with Joni Mitchell's "Circle Game" 12. To quote Tom Lehrer: "spring is the loveliest time of the year..."
RECOMMEND 1. Lord of War with Nicholas Cage (watched it last night) 2. Animal Farm by George Orwell 3. Alanis Morrisette's Jagged Little Pill is the finest gen-X album ever recorded
