Firstly, a little humour. There's something about the concise story-telling in a cartoon that appeals to me, quite aside from the visual element of the humour (I grew up appreciating B&W silents) so when a cartoon tickles me, I cut it from the paper and save it.
Not something my dog ever did but I know of dogs that have!
I had another go at free motion quilting last night. I didn't break the needle this time but neither was it as effortless as it appeared in the video on Pat Sloan's blog. ::is frustrated/disappointed:: I've posted to
calicocats asking for advice. I want to master this technique but I'm the only P&Q'er I know in this neck of the woods.
The weather is grey and rainy again. At least we're not flooded or on a flood warning. I feel for those who are.
Penguin!Boy is walking more normally today so I think his MoC (Migraine of Childhood) is fading. MoC is nothing like adult migraine; there's no crippling headache. His worst symptom is severe dizziness.
I pieced with the smallest cuts of fabric evar yesterday afternoon. Fiddly but I'm pleased with how it came out. Square up and bind off today. :) ::Is excited::
I quilted another block on AVF after dinner and had to stop when my finger got too sore. No, I don't wear a thimble or anything like. :) I can't get on with them at all, hence the callus on my middle finger. I wonder if Holmes would intuite I quilt from seeing my hands? ;)
À la préchaine!
