One of my neighbours is having a sycamore tree taken down. Man tchoeu would be heart-sick. They're chainsawing it down and shredding it. I feel sick and cross and upset as well. It was such a pretty tree quite apart from the fact that sycamore, once seasoned, turns beautifully.

I can't look. I wish I couldn't hear them destroying it either.
