I got lots done on this project yesterday (:D) and intended to share picspam.
The camera had other ideas. :P
So, while the battery was on recharge, I had a quick mooch around the net in the hope of finding the original design to link to. No luck, so I'll have to scan the magazine page.
'Cross My Heart' was designed by Kim Diehl for American Patchwork and Quilting magazine in 2002 and is applique.
Mine is pieced. (It was the unusual sawtooth outline that drew me) Two of the three 12.5" blocks.
(Hmm... Now that I see them together on 'film' I wonder if I shouldn't have mixed them differently. The pale floor, flash and low light level doesn't help in the assessment. It works well through my red viewing filter.)
A single block from the last 4 block element I'm piecing, and the ivory poinsettia feature fabric.
An idea of the layout.
Off lé rapiéchage eune moment, I was knitting more rounds of the second Blue Frog sock when my eye caught an upcoming knot. (!?) Not only is there a knot but an abrupt colour change as well!
