Siez l'dentiste.

There was much coarse drilling, of the kind that made you think your other teeth were vibrating loose. (It felt like a rotary bastard file! No joking!) Then I had to bite into some Stuff resembling a mouthful of warm candlewax (peuh!) for impressions and finally have a temporary crown fixed in. I'm sincerely hoping the technician makes a finer job of my permanent tooth than the dentist did of my temporary one, which is too big, catches when I chew and generally reminds me of its existence every time I open my mouth.

I did not, however, have to be numbed up. :) Man tchoeu took me for lunch afterwards. I had a delicious salad of ham carved from the bone, with lots of tasty accompaniments, while he polished off a huge Ploughman's. (He must have hollow legs!) He took me round to the wool shop to cheer me up, but, as in Chester on Monday, I was defeated. It was closed. :(

Maybe it's a hint to knit what I've got before I extend my stash any further. :) I'm halfway up my other sleeve so I've the neckband, blocking and making-up before fresh picspam can occur.

À la préchaine!
