Well, what to say about this weekend except that it seems like the first one in a long while that we've actually been home.

Saturday, despite the best of intentions, we got out of bed at 1130 - went to bed at a halfway decent hour, it must be the rainy weather making me feel more and more tired out though that day was the first dry one in almost a month.

Set about cleaning up Aki's room, which will be my study in the off months, while Lianne cleaned up my old study, which is now her study.

Mucked around a little getting the wax paper off/ plasticine out of my new silicone molds.

Then, off to the James Bay Community Centre to see shadesofwinter's new band, The Batnix, perform. It was great fun, especially liked the cover of "All This and More" by the Dead Boys. Good job!

I got home and styed up until late watching a Masterpiece Theatre adaptation of "Lucky Jim", one of my favourite books. It wasn't too bad.

Sunday I made breakfast (pancakes) and then went to UVic to post a few flyers for the game convention in two weeks. Might be 20 people there if all works out, which isn't bad for Victoria considering no government funding was involved.

Came home and started casting until it started to get dark. Kind of disappointing results with the new molds - one is too lumpy and spiky, two came out looking like little metal lumpy wafers, and my second attempt at a bat-face looks like Paddington Bear on meth. I am going to have to try again in all respects.
