The older I get, the more my age seems to be a cardinal number, not an ordinal. If it weren't for the occasional free drink and modicum of attention I get by mentioning it's my birthday (oh, and a cherry pie at home), I wouldn't bother marking the occasion at all.
Your calendar age is only really important when you go to change your driver's license or start to collect OAP. The identity of the person who first said, "You're only young once, but you can be immature forever" has been lost in the mists of time (but I heard it was Dave Barry).
