I realize I haven't posted here in a millenia (or something like that). For those not up on the world of me:
I have been married now for almost a year. No, there wasn't a ceremony. Not sure when one will be. Just a few words and a beautiful wedding license (cause it isn't from Oklahoma)
I still have my Basset Hound, Chloe, who was fixing to be my life partner until I met my husband.
We added a cat, Milo, who is definitely blonde, and sort of tabby.
I was working, I am currently on med leave, and unsure if I am going to be allowed to go back to work. If my husband and my Dr have their way, it won't happen.
I've been passing my time attending college to get a degree in Psych. I have a plan. I always have a plan.
I haven't "played" in a very long time. I no longer have a need to feel pain, so I'm not particularly masochistic at this time. I would be particularly sadistic, but I have to have a masochistic bottom to even enjoy that. I've discovered I am rather fond of switching, and of being married to a switch. Even better, a switch who's only interest in the "lifestyle" is in being with his wife, and attending a party only to see the way others play.
I will be stuck in Oklahoma longer than either of us planned, but it's ok. He's very good at taking care of me, so I can "suck it up" and put up with my loathing of this fetid sewer of a state for another few years before returning home.
I am looking forward to flying for the very first time in my life. The love of my life has decided that as soon as we can, we're going to take a weekend in Nevada. He's never been to Vegas, and I have never flown. So we both get a first. He looks at me with a wry grin, and says, "I don't suppose I'll ever be able to talk you into jumping out of a perfectly good aircraft." To which I replied "Let's get me comfortable in flying in an aluminum tube and we can chat about that later."
My husband, has also purchased a flak jacket, on which his stripes and patches reside, and he has decided as a memorial to my Father, a man like no other, to place my Dad's insignia and stripes on it as well. It's a way to connect the two men in my life that I love like no other.
I have my next tattoo picked out - yay. I found a Nordic Dragon, and in the wrap of his tail, is a Viking warship, sailing on a sea. It's my heritage tat. My memorial tat to Dad is a barbed wire cross with roses intertwined in the barb wire. I have a friend who does tats, a pro - his work is awesome.
We have taken in a stray Mama Cat, who is due to drop some kittens on us. If anyone would like a Mama Cat, or some kittens (you have to be good to them). let me know. When they are ready, I'll let you know and you can come pick one out. This poor little gal was starving and scared to death - some asshole abandoned her and she is so pretty. I think my opinion on any asshole who can just dump an animal is more than clear. Then again, if any of my opinions aren't clear, just let me know, and I'll break it down for you.
So that's me in a nutshell.
