Finding parking on Beacon Hill has become an increasingly large pain in my ass. The whole month of September was painless, but for the last two weeks it's been horrific. So, this morning I had to move my car 'cause someone had those reserved the space for moving. I go to move my car, and the narrow one way street that I'm on has a big moving van parked in the middle of it. So I roll down my window and am like, "hey, I can't move my car unless you move your moving van." And he's like, "well, can't you back your car all the way down the street." That end of the street is Cambridge street, which is a 6 lane road and a major corridor to the Financial district. So then I'm like, "dude, I'm not backing out onto Cambridge Street during rush hour." And this is a dilemma for him. Then I have to start spelling it out for him. 1. you put the signs up asking me to move my car. I would like to move my car for you, but you need to move your truck out of the way in order for me to do that. i.e. help me help you 2. I'm late for work and will only get more and more disagreeable as time progresses. 3. I'm not going to give you the ability to tow my car because you're being an ass, so either you move the truck or I'm getting on my cell phone and calling the police.
Finally he moved the damn truck.
People should not be allowed to be stupid and/or irritating before 9am
The story is complete when I also add that I was wearing a dark grey pinstripe suit -- I really have become a corporate ass.
