another update
So it's about time for an update. I updated a couple times - but realized that it was set to friends only - that should be fixed now and everybody should be able to read.
So let's recap the weekend. Friday night there was a steam leak in my building (it felt like Hawaii here) so I was busy taking care to the heat. At the same time I was making homemade cinnamon rolls which turned out excellent (I was very proud of them). Then Saturday Matthew and I went to the Iowa/Penn State game. The drive over was BEAUTIFUL. The game itself was HOT and boring, but we had fun tailgating and seeing my family. Sunday I went to a birthday party for Maya (she's one). Then I went to Cleveland and spent the afternoon with Matt. We did some exploring in Cleveland. Took a walk downtown and had a great dinner at a lovely restaurant while watching the Indians game. It was a wonderful afternoon/evening. This coming weekend I am dog sitting again, and looking forward to that (as always).
Work is going fine - I'm getting my work done, and trying not to be absorbed by it.
In wedding news there are little things that I would like to get done. But I have heard from some people that I needed to hear from so now I can get some more work done. My P.E.O. chapter wants to have a shower for me (which will be sweet) and my Ohio friends want to have a bachlorette party for me (which I think we ALL need - and I know we will have a great time). We got our first RSVP in the mail today (from Matt's parents).
Matt has started getting job interviews for his residency (we have heard from 5 of the 10 places he applied). This week we heard from cleveland clinic and from the university of iowa, so those were both very exciting. I am so proud of him.
