I was making a YouTube account one day, and I thought, "What's an interesting, memorable username that I could use everywhere without fail?" Somehow, my brain stuck L to the to Milk to Eater. I didn't really even know much about Death Note at the time, it was just that it rolled off the tongue well.
It's quite obviously English. If you couldn't pronounce it right, I would be worrying for you. People always ask me "How do you eat milk?! You drink milk!" My reply is that you eat ice cream/cheese/yogurt. Hence, an eater of milk.
