Am i the only one who thinks this is really really bad?

This would explain why the car jitters and jutters and horribly vibrates when I drive it.

OMG

That's a BAD ball joint! One would have to be a zen-like driver just to keep it within their own lane.

It has been vibrating since Sunday and I've been on the Interstate twice with it.

Me Mr. Zen driver. Who would have thought.

merccom sent me an email saying I might need a rack.

This is going to be expensive isn't it?

If it's the rack, hell yeah 'spensive. Is it doing it on both sides? -and when you do it on one side does the other side do it to?

I only know what's in the video and the little bit that was in the email from the mechanic that merccom forwarded to me.

Well if it is the rack, hopefully someone can source a nice gently-used unit but that is always iffy -a rebuilt one might be your best bet.

I'm not even sure what brand of car you are driving these days but a good top-of-my head guess says that even with a decent deal on a rebuilt rack, labor for R&R, flushing the power steering and an alignment (hopefully you don't need too many parts there too -depending on how abused they were) you'll be lucky to get it under $1000. merccom would be able to give you better numbers as he is an actual pro while I just play one on TV. I do know that this whole thing sucks.

Too bad money doesn't grow on trees :( You've had a run of bad luck in that department lately. I'd be pulling my hair out.

The hair is falling out all by itself I don't need to give it any help. :(

It's a '94 Chrysler LHS with about 140k miles on it.
