So in the novel length HP story I'm working on (found
here - and sorry you need to be registered on that site, I'm working on posting it to AO3, but only one chapter is up presently), I've introduced a new character. My beta thought it would be a great idea and so did I. Only now I'm trying to figure out how to deal with this new character. Because of him, I found that something I had happening at a specific time did not make as much sense there anymore so I've had to come up with some new material. I did really well on the chapter focusing on Lucius, but ideally I need a chapter focusing on Hermione. About half of that chapter came to me pretty easily, but that was dealing with her and her parents. I need to have some of it focusing on her and the new character and since I haven't really decided what his motives are, it makes this a bit more difficult. I know the endgame, but just not exactly how it will be reached.
And we had our hot water heater give up the ghost last night, so we spent close to two hours cleaning up the garage (only about 5 gallons of water was on the floor - the rest got caught in the combing and went through the drain pipe outside). J decided all the boxes needed to go into the small garage - even though more than a year ago he told me they should go in the big garage. But now that it's cleared out, he went and got some more shelves and hopefully we can get the garage organized sometime before we move (which could be in a little more than a year or could be way in the future - who knows). I have stuff that needs to go to charity and electronics recycling. Maybe do that tomorrow, at least for the e-waste. Then it will feel less claustrophobic if I want to workout.
And I now have the perfect birthday present for him - one of those nice tool chests. I was actually thinking of asking for one for Christmas since I'm the one who does most of the repairs around here. But we need a better tool organization than we have - which isn't much.
