Long time no anything
I'm still alive. I've actually done some muse corralling and have them working on my 2009 NaNo fanfic. I've also got a wonderful beta who is helping keep me motivated this time along. Of course along with new motivation has come new ideas and I've ended up adding 4 new chapters and whole lot of pages to the part of the story that I thought was mostly done. LOL Think again. Two new characters have also been added to bring a new layer of complexity to the story. I do think they are much needed layers, but it does make some of what I already had a bit tricky to use. And I completely changed one whole character's introduction and that will lead to some pretty big rewrites soon.
That said I do need to work on the last 4 chapters of the story. Those are exceedingly rough, but the motivation to finish them has been pretty low. I'm going to blame it on the fact I wrote the epilogue and am just having difficulties with the end of the regular story. Not to mention at that point the conflicts and other 'interesting' parts of the story are pretty much dealt with and it's in wrapping up phase. I'm sure once we get to betaing that part that the muses will finally just fill in the holes for me. Or just tell me I need to keep it short and sweet there at the end.
I'm just so happy to have the muses playing again. I need to get the Farscape ones back next. I do have a pretty good vid idea, but it's easier to write with the kiddos running around than vid.
One week of summer vacation down, 7.5 more to go.
