Le Sigh
I was given a 17.5 lb bag of pellets today for my 'foster birds.' And I thought - cool! Free year's supply of bird food! ... well, when they claim it's conure through amazon sized, they're lying. Those're more like... macaw sized pellet in my mind. The conures can eat them, but they're inconveniently large, and I don't think the cockatiels could tackle them.
But worse yet - the damned things are artificially colored. So there's no way my flock of two conures can eat a 17.5 bag of pellets, as I'm only willing to offer colored pellets as a third of the pelleted portion of their diet.
So. ... now I gotta find more Mickaboo volunteers on which to foist the many, many gallon sized ziplocks I filled.
Who wants Zupreem 'vegetable' blend?! Heh.
