God, this week...

Becky calls me on Monday. 'Rachael - Jack's acting strange.' I come home - he's having seizures. The vet is closed. I rush him to an e-vet in San Francisco, sleep at my friend's house, and bring him to MY vet on Tuesday morning.

He stays at the vet until yesterday afternoon when I picked him up. He had numerous seizures on the way home. He's had 8 seizures in the last 8 hours (two of them caused by me giving him his anti-seizure meds). We don't know the cause. If the seizures aren't under control with medication by Monday, the vet wants to run further and more expensive tests. It's cost me $700 so far - and I'm still unemployed. So - that's fun.

Then Becky comes home with Orion. Turns out he injured his leg (ankle? foot?) earlier in the morning - but the school never called her. They just kept giving him ice packs. Then he went tot he YMCA after school program and complained that it still hurt. They gave him another icepack - and CALLED HIS MOM. She took him to the doctor. Nothing shows up on the X-Ray, but the refer them to a specialist to be sure. They go to the specialist after school today (the last day of school) - it's broken.

He was going to go to 6 Flags tomorrow to celebrate his birthday. That's canceled. And he was going to go to ice skating summer camp at the YMCA next week. That's canceled. And his mom bought him a scooter for his birthday that he can't use for 6 weeks.

Also: I think the fan on my computer has died on me.

Fuck this week. SRSLY.

ETA: I've got most of my yarn listed on ravelry.com as for sale - if anyone wants to buy yarn. I'm starting to go through my kimono collection with an eye towards what I want to auction off. ...but I'm not to the point where I'm selling off Russian Castles just yet, sorry. I'll post my auctions here once they're running, and you're welcome to share them.

I did have a couple friends ask if they can help out - so there's this, if anyone feels so inclined. Jack will surely give an appreciative chirp once he wakes from his nap.
