Greetings, ladies, gentlemen, and those of you who for various reasons fall into neither of the previous two categories,
As you all are no doubt aware, come this August 4th your humble narrator will be starting medical school. Many of you are aware of this because I swung by and visited you all for scandalously short periods of time this fall and winter, which visits were mostly consumed with me freaking out about the application process and trying to knot a tie.
The tie part was probably pretty entertaining, admittedly.
Anyway. Before I go off to learn how to take dead bodies apart and patch up live people, I'm planning one last road trip to see as many people as I possibly can. Dates are June 25 for the start of the trip and July 7 for the date I have to be back in Boston for one last tune up with the brain mechanic before I take the big catapult shot.
I currently have no itinerary planned, really. I know that
jkh1232 and I are getting together to play wargames, see the USAF Museum, and bitch about Communists for a few days in there, and insofar as that means getting to Ohio and back it'll be something of a production. I know that I'm spending at least some time in Philadelphia, because
alemara will be very hurt if I don't and I like breathing. But other than that, things are pretty much open.
Places I'm thinking of include:
-NYC
-Washington, D.C.
-(add your own)
So comment to me, Flist. The greatest motorized escapade since Uncle Joe Stalin forgot to set the parking brakes on his T-34s and wound up in East Berlin is kicking off in June, and if you want to hang out in the course of it, let me know.
I will then take all of your comments and assemble them into a flawless plan that will brilliantly use the available time and will not be affected at all by logistics, traffic, car breakdowns, the weather, or supply-side economics, and this will all go off without a hitch. And then I will claim my rightful throne as God-King of the mollusks. Alternately, I'll do the best I can and be in touch by email.
Thatisall.
