"I'm certainly intrigued," Jarod said. "As for what it wanted - I don't know. I didn't even know these existed until the other day. Maybe the mark will lead s to both its owner and its purpose."
"N-no!" Raphael visibly cringed... He hadn't expected that as a response or even a suggestion. His stomach lurched at the idea and suddenly he was glad he could go without food indefinitely.
"I was just going to ask if you wanted to go out to eat later. I know this great vegetarian place." Though not now, as his appetite had been sufficiently squelched.
He made a face. As if the Hellbeast were a leftover dinner that could be spoiled. But the Son didn't need to know he was creeped out by a dead thing. He was a doctor after all...
"Cut it open, chart where the inner organs lie, weigh them, take pictures..." Jaros suggested, reaching for a scalpel to mark the lines along which he intended to place the first incision.
Placing the tip of the scalpel against the base of the dead Hellbeast's skull, he started applying pressure, testing to see how much strength it would take to cut through the layers of tissue.

A suspicion started to dawn on him. "You don't propose that we eat THAT, do you?"

"What next?" he asked.
