Rose crept out of the manor, aiming for absolute silence. She really, really needed to stretch her legs and with a bit of luck everyone else would still be asleep.
The moment the cool morning air hit her face she inhaled deeply and felt her shoulders relax minutely. She began to walk across the manor grounds, aiming for the woods, when a familiar and unwelcome scent met her nostrils.
She sighed. Loudly. She just couldnt help it. Not only was there someone else already out here - which meant she couldn't risk changing into Cloud even though her skind possitively itched with the urge to do just that - no, it was that demon!
Rose considered going back inside, but she wanted, she needed the fresh air on her skin and in her lungs. So she continued walking, even when the scent got stronger and she finally saw the demon leaning against a tree. Maybe he was deep enough in thought to not see her?
Well, not everyday. It depended on wether she was cleaning Mr. Dawson's bar as well, on how much there was to do that day, but he didn't need to know that.
"And I thought I'd get a bit of fresh air and enjoy this fine morning before I start work."
"I don't think I'll have time for an extended walk through the woods. I just wanted some fresh air."
And most certainly she wouldn't strip in front of him. He might follow her and then she couldn't change. Or he might pretend to not follow her and use it's powers to do it in a way she wouldn't realise. Much too dangerous.
So changing and running around on four legs would have to wait, even if her skin positively itched with the urge to be Cloud again, to sniff out trails and hunt.
Belial tilted his head. "That's an interesting point of view. And true. Enjoy your walk."
He wasn't quite willing to leave the grounds yet, so he continued leaning against the tree and waited, one hand resting against the bark. He could practically sense the sap flowing within.
With a polite nod she continued her walk, not going on to the woods but staying on the manor grounds. There'd be time for running through the woods another day...
Belial watched her go thoughtfully. There was clearly something odd about her; despite his teasing words, he didn't believe that she made a habit of running through the woods naked for the fun of it.

"Good morning."
It had been a good morning when she still thought she could change and run around on four legs. Now the morning wasn't so good anymore.
"You're awake quite early, sir."

"It's okay, I'll have time for an extended walk on another day. Makes the walks more special than if I did them every day."
