Jarod ambled over the grounds, looking for nothing in particular, as the sound of saw teeth biting into wood caught his hear. Curious, he went to investigate.

As he rounded the corner, he saw a young woman with bleach-blonde hair bent over some kind of craft project. She was attacking the board she was wokring on with such fervor that he wondered if it had done something to personally insult her. He walked over.

Kirby glanced up from her work as she felt someone approach.

Well, if that wasn't Himself, her own personal target! She gave him a welcoming smile. "Heya stranger," she said. "You haven't by any change come to give a mere woman a hand?"

Jarod raised an eyebrow at her. "You're no mere anything, if I'm any judge," he said, but he rolled up his sleeves anyway. "What are you working on?"

"Targets," Kirby answered. "There's this Rambo guy aaround who'se been trying desperately to shoot a pistol at a tree and missing pathetically. Not the first idea about how to hold it, handle it or aim with it, I tell you. From the look of that thing, it probably would serve him better if he just threw it at the target. You might have seen him around - tell, blonde, could be handsome if he lost the scowl, misses a thumb."

"I don't have any specific timeline. I don't have any places to be or jobs to do, so I may stay for quite a while."

He set to work with the saw along Kirby's pre-drawn lines. "Race you to the middle?"

"Sure," Jarod said. By now his sawing skills were such as if he had spent his whole hildhood and youth building treehouses and the like. It was fun, too. Maybe he should try out carpentry for a bit. It was promising to be fun.

Kirby stood back and watched how the Jesus guy suddenly seemed to grow advanced sawing skills the moment he got to compete against another man, rather than working leisurely in the company of a pretty woman. Oh, men were so predictable.

She wondered idly if she should make some comment that included the words "Jesus" and "carpenter", but instead settled on simply watching the two work up a sweat. It was such a pity that the place had no swimming pool one could go and cool off in after some hard work. Jarod looked like he might offer quite a tasty sight.
