Belial's call came just at the right moment. He had been bored to the point where he had considered calling for some minor demon to inflict some enjoyment on...

He waited just long enough to take the call to avoid giving the impression of being anything else than supremely busy with the running of Hell.

"Yes?" he asked. "What do you have to report?"

Although Lucifer likely could not see him, Belial bowed his head. His tone was deferential.

"My Lord, the, ah, guest list here is quite impressive. The Archangels Michael, Gabriel and Raphael are here, and Raphael is greatly weakened and appears vulnerable. I will be keeping a close eye on him. There's also a Principality and two lesser immortals. And I met your son upon arrival. He seems firm about this place being neutral ground."

"You called me to give me the guest list?" Lucifer asked, his tone somewhere between annoyance and amusement. It was true, though - there was an impressive assortment of Archangels around the place.

"I thought it was intriguing that there are three of the Archangels here." A mischievous smile curled Belial's lips. "And I was actually wondering if you would like to come up here, Lord. Raphael is holding a dinner party for everyone in the Manor right now."

Well, that was an event on the guest list of which his name certainly did not appear. That didn't make the prospect any less entertaining. Quite the opposite.

He leaned back and smiled a skewed smile that Belial could, of course, not see.

"I believe I will," he said. "I'll see you there."

Without waiting for any further answer, he cut the connection though which they were speaking

Smirking to himself, Belial swiftly erased the pentagram. Oh, he'd love to see the looks on the angels' faces when Lucifer appeared...

He stood, straightened his clothes, and left his room.
