War was standing at her window, speculating if she could hit the trees at the edge of the grounds with her crossbow, which she heard voices. She looked down to one side and could just see two angels and a man, all armed with swords.

"Sounds like my kinda party," she grinned. She slung her duffel bag of swords over her back, grabbed her throwing hook, wedged it into the bedframe, and threw herself out the window.

She landed on the grass outside like a cat, then straightened and started walking towards them, reaching into the bag for one of her swords.

Hearing something behind him, Duncan turned. A woman with hair red as any Scottish lassie's came walking towards him. The way she carried herself told him this was no stranger to fighting.

As an Immortal, he had learned to take female opponents seriously far before anyone in this part of Europe had come up with the idea that women could, indeed, be valiant and able fighters.

He sketched a swordsman's greeting with his katana.

Michael grinned at Duncan. "I have no idea what what your back-story is but it takes a lot of guts for a human to challenge someone with six wings, which I can definitely approve of."

Then he noticed the bombshell redhead walking over to them and his grin got even bigger. "Apparently we need a sword-fighting club," he admitted, seeing that she was drawing a very well-made weapon. "And, while I wouldn't mind taking anyone on, we are here for the purpose of making Aziraphael suck less, so that does take some precedence..."

There was something very... familiar about the redhead, now that she was getting closer. She felt like... well, like something he'd definitely felt before. Huh. This was getting weirder and weirder.

"Your way of training him is more likely to end him up with broken bones and no self-esteem left, Michael of the six wings," Duncan commented. "If you can't keep a cool head while teaching, you shouldn't teach. Same goes for keeping a civil tongue in your mouth. Nothings's ever been gained by insulting a student."

Michael looked at Duncan with a raised eyebrow. "He is a nerd, he did lose his first flaming sword, which I gave him, and no, he's not even good enough to know you never take your eye off someone you're fighting. I could have chopped his head off and instead chose to punch him in the face, which is a lot better for learning than saying it now isn't it?" He shrugged. "And once I'm through with him he'll actually have something to be proud about. I'm the leader of the Heavenly Host. I've trained worse than him before."

The poor man seemed truly terrified at the suggestion. Duncan stepped forward and addressed Michael again.

"Look here: Why don't you go for a round with someone else, and I start this one's training. Aziraphale, was it?" he suggested.

"Besides, this is Holy Ground. No decapitating!" he didn't usually speak of the Game to strangers who were not Immortals, but these were hardly humans either.

"Wait wait wait wait wait," Michael said, not sure what about this guy was weirder and not afraid to show it. "Number one, Aziraphael's got a couple thousand years on you so that's just weird. Number two, this is Satanic evil ground, so are you a Satanist? Because if you are I might have to laugh at you. Number three, not that I plan on decapitating anyone any time soon, but what does the ground have to do with it?"

Geez. The redhead was getting closer and he still couldn't place where he knew her from, and there was a blonde guy coming over who felt really weird, and...

It was getting crowded out here!
