Setting: In front of the hotel/lobby
Summary: Two new guests arrive
Duncan parked his black corvette neatly on one of the empty parking spaces in front of the manor that housed the hotel where he intended to get away from the Game for a while. Holy Ground. He could feel it and had been able to feel it for a while. He wouldn't have dared take a head for miles around this place. The whole village seemed consecrated.
Now that was just what he had been looking for. He glanced at Joe on the passenger seat.
"How often do you think has an immortal taken his watcher to his new home personally?" he asked.
"You're asking the wrong question, McLeod," Joe answered in his low drawl. "How often has an immortal known he was bringing his own watcher along?"
He pushed open the door and got out of the car, using his cane to push himself up. He was sure McLeod hadn't bought such a low car to spite him. Reasonably sure at least.
The Immortal quickly walked around the car and opened its trunk. His katana went under his coat, where he usually carried it. He would have kept it with him while driving, but it made sitting in a car seat pretty damn difficult.
His sword safely hidden but within easy reach, Duncan lifted his bag from the car and threw it over his shoulder, then waited for Joe to come and retrieve his own luggage.
"You did remember to order a room for me, too, didn't you?" Joe asked more suspiciously than Duncan thought necessary as he took first the bag that contained his guitar, then his remaining things.
McLeod nodded his agreement while he loked around and took in the surroundings. The weather was perfect for this time of the year, and things felt as right as they could for him at the moment. Yes, it had been a good idea to come here. Here he would find some peace and rest.
Together, the two men walked over to the hotel's entrance and entered the lobby. They looked around for someone in charge.
