I'd forgotten how much I dislike being on active duty. There's a reason I'm a historian, not a technician.

I was assigned to keep an eye on the power pull from the impulse controls, and I swear I looked down at my PADD for one second and Mr. Scott gets on my case about it.

At least I don't have to do that again for another week or so.

I'm just glad I don't have to go back until next week. Maybe he'll have forgotten about it by then...

I haven't interacted with him too much, but of what I know, he doesn't hold grudges. If anything, he'll probably come find you and apologize.

You really think so? I mean, maybe he's different outside the engine room, but he's always seemed a little uptight.

Sorry to intrude, but Scotty is very different when off duty. He's more friendly and kinda goofy.

I think the stress of Chief Engineer just gets to him sometimes. He cares a lot about his engineers.
