High point of the day, #1: Being allowed to brush teeth & rinse with salt water. The basic hygiene improved my outlook on life a great deal.
High point of the day, #2: Joining Dan on his weekly coffeehouse writing date. There was late 19th century India research, revisions to a non-fiction audio editing book, and sketch practice (that would be me) happening.
Low point: The swelling is definitely worst on the second day. I looked like a chipmunk.
Breakfast:
Japanese rice porridge w/ soy sauce
Half an avocado
On the road:
We went to look at a house that turned out to be a total lemon (the Bay Area housing market post FB really, really sucks), but Dan didn't have breakfast so on the way back, I had a drive-through ice cream sundae. (I have no idea what he had, because I'm jealous of all solid food. Especially if I smell bacon on it.)
Lunch at the coffee house:
Zucchini parmesan soup with a dollop of creamy goat cheese. It was served with baguettes, which I soaked in the soup.
DRY Cucumber soda (DRY is seriously awesome. I'm pushing the cafe to add Juniper Berry and Lavander)
At home, I promptly passed out and napped for several hours.
Dinner:
The other half of the avocado pureed with the rest of the cucumber soup from yesterday.
The rest of the rice porridge, which was really just half a scoop.
And with that... I think I will crash again.
