Excellent!

You captured Ianto's thoughts really well - his attempts at denial are very in character for the timeframe - and quite apart from that it's hot enough to melt the brain!

You really need to get this posted to some of the communities - I'd suggest jackxianto and torchwood_fic - so that more people can read and enjoy it.

I'm already looking forward to the sequel - can't write smut to save my life, but I love to read it.

Ooh, my first comment :)

Thanks for being so supportive - I've only recently started using LJ, so I wasn't sure how the communities work. Thanks for recommending some, though - I'll definitely give them a go.

I'm so glad you liked it, and that you thought Ianto was in character. It was the first time I've really tried going back to the beginning of their relationship, and tried to define what happened there. There are so many different versions of this out there I was a bit worried.

That said, I had a lot of fun writing it, so to have someone else say they enjoyed it is the icing on the cake.

The communities aren't too difficult - they like you to use a header (title, author, rating, pairing, summary and any warnings/spoilers) and it's a good idea to check out the rules on the profile page for each one. Then you just join the community and you can either post your story there under a cut or just post the header with a link leading back to your journal. Either method is acceptable.

Other communities you might like are torch_wood which is for everything Torchwood related, including fics, jantolution which is for janto fics that at least have a happy ending, and tw_classic for anything related to the first two series (I think things set pre-season one are alllowed too).

Have fun exploring LJ, there are still quite a few regular Torchwood writers around and a lot of older journals that are worth reading if you enjoy that as well as writing.

I do love reading - in fact it was stumbling across Angstosaur's fic here that brought me back into the fandom. Since then I've been perusing at my leisure when I have a little time to myself (doesn't happen often).

I've posted this and my other Torchwood fic to both communities you mentioned, using your posts as a guide. Thanks again for pointing me in the right direction :).

Will do. I'm not particularly quick at writing, and RL tries its level best to keep me as busy as his humanly possible, but I will.

I'm working on the sequel at the moment. I had a momentary panic when it stalled for a few days, but I'm off and running again now.

Hmm very nice and very hot.

I can totally see Ianto having this play over in his head.

Welcome to the world of TW Fics.

It's a nice little group we have that write fic. I've been trying to finish a story for a Big Bang at the end of the. Month but my bunnies don't seem to be cooperating.

I hate it when that happens. Mine bound off into the ether regularly. I'm grabbing them and writing up a storm while they're currently nearby, but they'll disappear soon enough.

I've had a flick through some of the recent submissions: what a great selection so far :) How is it I didn't find my way here years ago?

Thank you :)

The sequel is proving a little slower in coming, but I'm getting there slowly.
