my first week in the field...
its exhausting being out in the sun all day! i was out in the field wed-friday of this week because we were running tubing on two of our wells... it was neat to be out there and learn about the operations and get to see them first hand.. but 16 hour days in the sun... starting at 630am, its exhausting... i feel like i still havent been able to catch up on sleep and i leave to go back to the field tomorrow!!!
this week i get to see a frac job, coiled tubing, and gas lift installation... my mentor is coming with me for the frac job... she said its goign to be an all nighter monday night and thru tuesday to get it all finished because its such a big job...
friday when i got back from the field around 7pm i decided even though i was tired i needed interaction with civilization so i went to midtown... me, cade, and jordan went to pub fiction and the red door, for some reason everyone was out of town this weekend... then i ended up staying at there apartment because i was too tired to drive back and there roomate was gone so i just slept in his bed...
yesterday i ran some errands in the morning... including signing up for my first credit card... then i went and relaxed at the pool for a while... katie and her friend emily from med school got in about 5 and we went to dinner at lupe tortilla at around 7, then they went to the soccer game and i went to target for a bit to kill some time... we ended up meeting up with katies friend susan and Howl at the Moon... which was pretty fun... Pete, that guy i hung out with my first weekend in houston was there, but i didnt see him til the end of the night... but i had left my necklace that i got in Austria on his nightstand so he brought it to me so i have that back... that whole situation is strange and makes me really glad i have been busy with work... i rarely talk to him... but when we do talk its really good... i dunno... i dont like to call guys, esp in the begining... my thoughts are if they want to talk to you they will call... well he is bad at that, or at least he is with me... so the way i am looking at it now is i have my necklace, if he wants to talk/hang out he can call... i dont really have time for anything anyways... works going to be crazy for a while with me going out to the field all the time these first few months
this morning i went to FBC Woodlands... it was pretty good, but i am going to try a few places out before i decide where i want to go...
