As followers of my Facebook status updates will know, this has been yet another difficult week. My GIC appointment almost didn't happen, due to cancelled trains, and while the meeting itself was positive another cancelled train made the day very, very long and stressful.
Then, my bank account and credit cards are frozen. I discover this while trying to pay my card bill. I'm treated like a criminal by a very rude operator and their manager, and end up in a branch with the manager trying to get to the bottom of things.
In the end it turns out that its down to over eager call centre staff who flagged my account, despite the fact that I continually passed security. The monitors on my account saw it used in Stockport and London on the same day and swooped in.
Sorted now, for my account, still can't access my credit card yet. I like Natwest branch staff. They actually give a shit, and are willing to get stuff done. "Just stop talking, and get me your manager - now." He said to the call centre staff.
Shattered by all the stress though, and tried to get today off, as I have a ton of holiday to take, and they're supposed to take my CFS into account, above and beyond the standard short notice leave policy.
No dice.
Stuck in work, getting hassle because I've had a few long calls, and even though each was a complaint or aggressive situation, I've defused them all, but that doesn't matter.
