quite a party

Kind of like coming in after the party's in full swing, I approached a few of you today - or tried, anyway, by adding you to my friends page. Not sure what the ettiquette is for that...I'm here because I kept seeing references to LJ and challenges over at fanfiction.net and wanted to meet the artists, offer to beta a bit.
Picked up the first installment of the Transformers movie prequel comic today. It's sort of frustrating because the only mechs named in it are Optimus Prime, Megatron and Arcee and they are not the main focus of it. Imagine the movie-announcer-guy saying something like "Only six Autobots stand alone against an army," of course I want to know right now which six! Anyway, of those three only Megatron even makes an appearance. He takes some getting used-to in his movie-verse form, to the tune of "Are those supposed to be teeth?!?" In some frames I can't tell mech from background and only know what's happening when it's discussed a few frames later.
I shake my head.
