Vega hated getting up early, especially when sleeping hadn't given her any energy at all. That strange dream she'd had, that voice about Amaya. It was all so bizarre and yet, she felt the need to uphold her promise to get her. What afterward though? She didn't know where to take Amaya and she had no time now.
Quickly shaking her head if the thoughts, Vega made her way over towards Reno. She was standing similarly to him, only she carried cappuccino and wasn't nursing a burned tongue.
"Morning Reno." She said, finding a chair and sitting down for a moment. Vega looked over the map he had laid out and the two routes he'd marked. Pointing at the one that stopped once, she said:
"That route would probably be best. We can get the job done a lot quicker that way." Vega quickly bit her tongue before she made a comment about being stuck in a helicopter all day with Hojo. Nothing against the man, but he creeped her out.
"Yeah, well... we've got a couple'a science geeks who probably don't know how to travel longer than a few hours without having to pee or be told to shut up before they get hung off the side of the helicopter." He sighed, taking another sip of strong bitter brew and chuckling to himself over the mental image of Hojo dangling a good twenty feet from the bottom of a helicopter as they flew over an ocean or something.
"Anyway, how're you doing?" He asked, settling against the edge of the table comfortably. May as well kill time with idle chatter while they waited for the geeks.
Vega laughed softly, sharing a similar mental image. And she could genuinely believe that Reno would do something like that, Turk's could without to much coming back at them.
"Trying not to fall asleep, last night was terrible. How about you? Being a Turk must give you a ton of interesting things to do." She blew on her cappuccino before taking a sip, feeling a little bit more refreshed.
"Eh." He shrugged, one shoulder rising higher than the other. "It's mostly been paperwork, not much to do in this backwater place. Why'd you think I agreed to babysit the three of you?" He let out another bark of a laugh, "I've been entertaining the idea of cuttin' my hair finally, or something."
"You too Shalua, you're gonna be on this trip. One stop or three?" He asked, smiling at her thinly. "You want some coffee, I think we're gonna be waiting for Hojo for a while."
Honestly, he hadn't been expecting people to actually show up on time because of how early it was.
